Waiting for Nana
A big thank you to everyone who has brought us meals since Levi's arrival. Your thoughtfulness has meant so much to us. It has been helpful to not even have to think about supper as we are adjusting to life with 2 kids. In fact, there's been so much that Isaac doesn't believe that I cook anymore. I made baked blueberry french toast for breakfast on Father's Day and Isaac asked who made it. When I told him I did, he smiled and said, "No, Nana did."
Festival of the Arts
Isaac loves to paint. This year we took him to the Festival of the Arts and let him spend as much time as he wanted in the Paint-In area. And believe me, he spent a lot of time there. I don't know how many kids we watched come and go while our little artist just kept right on working on his masterpiece. He definitely got in to it and quite literally, he left with paint in his hair. It was great! Kudos to all the volunteers who put the booth together. No parents are allowed in the painting area so the kids do their own thing (I was in long enough to snap these pictures and then was asked to leave). They can stay as long as they like and use as much paint as they like. It was a dream come true for this big boy.
Smiles and Coos
Hiatus Explained
Our computer has been on the fritz, but thanks to Martin's determination and tech ability, it is now up and running again. Yay! Lots of updates are on the way. Here's a glimpse of what's to come...
We walked to a nearby playground today for some Father's Day fun (yet another reason we love our neighborhood!). We had the place to ourselves and really took advantage of it. Everybody went down the slide: Levi included via the Baby Bjorn.
Then, in our own backyard, Martin and Isaac were having fun watching Oscar take a shower in our sprinkler. I was watching them out the window and just had to take a picture of the happiness. You can almost hear the giggling when you look at this one.
