Little Sir Isaac

The blogs main focus is ISAAC! The awesome little peanut that came into our lives on July 16, 2005. We're so excited to have him. Check back often to witness our family grow and change...

Spring is in the air

Today is jeans weather, but we sure did enjoy the nice temps earlier this week. These shorts are from last year; I'm not sure if that's an indicator of what a little peanut our boy is, or how big they were on him last year.

Isaac is having fun discovering all things spring. We spend lots of time looking out the window and watching the birds and squirrels. Daddy hung up a bird feeder on our back window so the birds (and squirrels) have even more of a reason to hang out.

Lay your head on my shoulder...

Isaac and Rowen are good friends. Isaac is still battling his ear infection in this picture and I think he was looking for comfort from Rowen. She could feel his pain and leaned in to give a kiss. These two have tipped over so many times trying to hug each other. We decided a chair was safer for their snuggling.

We're so thankful Isaac likes medicine. I called him into the kitchen the other day and he came running in with his mouth open. We don't even have to pay extra for flavoring!

Yay Daddy!

Martin ran his first 5k! Isaac and I were so excited to see him cross the finish line. We worked on a celebration sign together before the race. It was hard for Isaac to hold with his mittens on, but we made sure Daddy saw it.

Martin gave up karate soon after Isaac was born so he could spend more time at home. He joined the Y and eventually began running on the treadmill there. Then he found a running group in our neighborhood, then a buddy to run with occasionally on Saturday mornings, and the rest is history. Yay Daddy!

A new ride

Since most the snow has melted (for now), Daddy and Isaac decided to get a new ride ready; his little red wagon. Isaac has his hammer in hand just in case Daddy needs assistance. He loves to help and takes his work very seriously. We're trying to decide how old he needs to be before we can hire him out. College isn't cheap! ;)

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

The first day of Spring is just a couple weeks away, right? In the mean time, we better get Isaac on his sled as much as possible. He loves riding it!
